Has anybody heard any rumors if they're coming out with a Kotor 3? I love this series. Although the end of 2 was a little bit of a bite from the movies.

I doubt we'll see a KOTOR 3...at least not for quite a while. They are coming out with the new Star Wars MMO (maybe it's out already?) and I'm sure that is the focus right now.

Fazeo on LIMBO: "I want big fucking Kirby rainbow colors shooting out of my screen, enough of this dark shit. I didn't spend a couple grand on a TV to watch monochrome kids hanging themselves... If they come out with a game named Bimbo, I'm there."

Yuss.

BioWare is the company that made KOTOR. They are suppose to be making an MMORPG version of KOTOR but I doubt we'll see a KOTOR 3 any time soon especially since they have Mass Effect ;)

Obsidian is the company that did KOTOR 2 but all they did is take the KOTOR engine, modify it, and write a new story.

I thought they came out with a failed MMO around the same time as or before the first Kotor. Oh well. I try and stay away from them. Internet crack. The first pop is always free. I would love to see a 3 though.

That they did. But they added the newer D20 system to the classes and Prestige classes, which made it that much more fun.

Also an interesting note, from what I heard is, Bioware owns Obsidian or something along those lines.

The MMO is not out yet. They have been accepting beta applications but it does not seem that any beta testing has started. You will hear when that happens because their non-disclosure specifically states that you can tell people that you are a tester but cannot tell them what you are testing. I have signed up as a beta tester but have not heard anything. Even if you are not interested in an MMO, the website is pretty cool for Star Wars geeks like me :)

They did, it was called Star Wars Galaxies, it was put out in 2001 by Sony Online Entertainment.

I think what you heard is that Bioware was bought out by Electronic Arts. Obsidian is still their own company.

Oh, and I too still hold a candle for KotOR III.

I think I'm going to play the MMO when it comes out. Unless FF14 comes out first and is as awesome as it looks.

Totally off the thread topic, but if FF14 gets away from the dumb PlayOnline server crap and lets people play for free (once the game is bought naturally) I might get into it.

Maybe that's what I heard. They did a good job with integrating the D20 system. Those were the best Star Wars games for a long time IMO.

I have to disagree. KOTOR1 was a great game for RPGness and Star Wars stuff. Me, I'm more of a fan of traditional Star Wars cannon. I like the movie stories as apposed to the expanded stories.

While a simple RTS on the outside, Star Wars: Empire at War is probably the purest Star Wars game in that sense. Controlling both fleets of ships and surface armies.. very awesome. Gungans vs Storm Troopers for ROFL? Yes please!

I also am probably the select few who enjoyed the Jedi Knight shooters. It was cool downloading modded skins of costumes, collecting them like action figures, and pummeling each other with 30+ ppl in one server. It was really pure chaos. Royal Guards vs Luke in Tatooine vs Yoda vs Leia all with lightsabers

I try to stay away from PC games. Too many buttons. lol. For the Xbox I think the greatest. Although Force Unleashed was awesome. I like the RPG thing when it comes to Star Wars. It's more personal.
