[SG Xcaliber]

Anyone have this game? I have a friend who's been telling me about it, but I'm not sure I would enjoy it. It's supposed to be very challenging, but play like a 3rd person perspective Diablo. Lots of things in common with Diablo, but more harsh in the punishment. For example if you die you have to trek back to your body to pick up your stuff, but if you die on the way there you lose it all, for good.

I'm anxious to hear more if anyone's played it.

WOW. I knew about this game and it sounded really unique but those are some stellar reviews. This and Uncharted 2 are making me hate that I don't have a PS3 right now.

The game is damn good but HARD AS HELL! I really like it tho and if you like hack and slash RPGs then go get it if your a PS3 owner.

I would avoid getting it. Everyone I know that's played it talk about how ridiculously difficult it is. Lots of dying. Lots of losing all of your souls (money).

Seriously. And get use to dying as well even though the bosses are awesome.

I'm gonna skip this one. They don't have it at my Hollywood Video and I just don't think I'd like it with the difficulty. Plus Uncharted 2 and Borderlands are coming out soon so I'll be even more busy playing those. Thanks for the info guys.

Excellent - I haven't even put DS in the PS3 yet - I have bee n playing borderlands pretty much not stop. I actually read the guidebook for DS and it looks pretty complicated. I have never played anything close to a JRPG, so this should be interesting.

OK, so i played this for about 2.5 hours last night and still have not gotten to the end of the first world. I do like it, but you have to start over from the beginning every time you die. I still haven't figured out the real life vs soul status and I haven't played with the attributes and stuff. I will try and find a wiki with some tips. First impressions - very fun game, but as it is known for, very tough.

Played for two more hours - still on world one. yes, it is pathetic.

this game is like being in an abusive relationship. I know I should stop, it is not good for my psyche or self confidence, but I know if I stick with it it will eventually get better (even though that is most certainly not the case).

yes, i know i keep replying to my own posts, but...

If you have Demon's Souls, this is a big weekend. The servers are all Pure White World Tendency, so a bunch of stuff is available that is normally very hard to get.

I played for a few hours last night - finally was able to go down the stairs on the left of world 1-1. got a few items, but nothing special. This game is way too addicting, especially with howterrible I seem to be at it. thank god for the wiki or i would have sold it long ago.

Sweet Jesus, they weren't kidding about the difficulty. I just picked this up and died during the tutorial.
