As i was reading this i could barely hold back from breaking down. I would have done the samething for my 3 year old niece if that situation every arised, and God i hope that day never comes. I witnessed a simular situation with a friend who was my age in college where she lost her liver due to drugs, and her brother gave his liver to save her life. Needless to say this was one of the most admirable stories i have ever read about a fellow SGer since i have been a member of this community. All i can say is you are The Man! I hope everything continues to work out good with your nephew and you.

What you did was amazing pure and simple. The fact that it really did have nothing to with gaming however due to the media should be promoted that way appauling but...
YOU are a true HERO and that is something you should never forget.

It really is exactly the converse of saying that a criminal was known to play video games. According to the mainstream media, we shouldn't be the kind of people who would save our nephews.
Words can't express how honorable and glorious a thing you did, Jeff. May you and your nephew be blessed eternally.

LOL... "badassery" - Coined by Anaris! Thanks!
Also, I'm new to this whole "gamers are bad people" thing.... I completely disagree with someone that believes that playing video games makes an individual a bad person with bad tendencies. I run around playing 1st person shooter games online almost everyday, and yet, i still have a good heart... Hell, if anything, playing video games gives me the chance to release some of my agression. It has a calming effect on me.
And thanks to all of you for comments! Every one I read puts a smile on my face!
P.S. - TROCKS - Cheers to the Fling!
