SG Field Trip, Anyone?

I'm up for a field trip to this museum in Ottawa. Who wants to pitch in for gas?

Quote

OTTAWA -- The capital is known for its museums of culture, agriculture and war - now Canadians can add advice on anal sex for teens to the list of Ottawa's attractions.
The Museum of Science and Technology is hosting Sex: A Tell-All Exhibition, opening Thursday.

Initially aimed at children 12 and up, organizers quickly boosted the admission age to 16 after some parents were aghast at the graphic displays.
"It very quickly became apparent to myself and my wife that this was revolting," parent Patrick Meagher told QMI Agency. "They were encouraging kids to have multiple partners, have anal sex, and the words they used were inappropriate. This felt like a sexual agenda being pushed."

The exhibit includes floor-to-ceiling photos of nude toddlers, children, teens and adults, and an array of heated, flavoured and textured condoms rolled over wooden dildos. There's also a 'climax room' with a round, low, leather bed, red curtains, a video screen showing animations of aroused genitals, and the voice of a man describing an orgasm.

Next to close-up photos of adult genitals are video screens using animations to explain masturbation.
Attendees are asked to write their own words for penis and vagina on a digital screen, and slang-terms like c--- and pussy for female genitalia and c--- for male body parts, are displayed above it in large letters.

There are listening stations with pre-written questions and push button audio answers.
Next to a printed question asking, 'Why do many boys always want to have anal sex?' sexologist Jamy Ryan responds that not all boys want to do it, but: "If you are comfortable trying that activity, go ahead and do it. It could be fun for you, but if you are not, you don't really have to do it."

Next to a question about pregnancy, the recording assures listeners that abortions are available at medical clinics and at 14 years old, you don't need to tell your parents.

The Montreal Science Centre hatched the exhibition with the help of sexologists. They also inked a classroom guide so teachers can conduct quiz games with students after field trips to see the sights.

Do I have a right to be pissed off?

So my wife is outside playing with my two daughters when they decide to up and go to the back of the house - the garage is open and several toys are outside in the front yard. After about 15-20 minutes my wife and the girls (3 and 18 months) go back to the front and my 3 year old's tricycle is nowhere to be found. It is just a standard radio flyer red trike, but still in very good shape.

So my daughter is in tears and my wife thinks it's been stolen and she is telling Ellie that her favorite toy is gone. Then my wife sees some people working on some landscaping on a house two doors down and so she walks over there to see if they saw anybody take it. She goes up to the guy (it is just a guy and a gal), and asks him if he's he's seen any thing. He hesitates a bit and says, "Let me go ask my wife." He comes back and goes to his car and takes my daughter's trike out of the trunk and gives it to my wife. Continually saying that they thought it was a "free" item left on the side of the curb.

I think that is bullshit, myself.

There are toys in the yard, the garage is open with a van in the garage and there is a trike by the curb. Shit - i guess that means free trike! No.

I am pissed. If anything, you see something that you think might be free and aren't sure - GO ASK.

So, do i have a right to be pissed or am I overreacting?

MS Company eStore - What to Buy!?!?

Just got back from a visit to the Philly Microsoft Technology Center and apparently they give out access to their store to clients. I am able to buy $200 worth of stuff from their store at their company's prices. To put this into perspective, Xbox games are $25 each for new releases. If you could buy anything MS at a ridiculous discount, what would you get (not just Xbox games).

1. I've only owned it for a year, but got tired of people thinking I'm one of the Golden Girls driving it around.
2. I'm selling it because it's a piece of crap, and I'm sure your dad would love it. It's better than his last car, I'm sure.
3. A piece of the Mir Space Station fell from space and landed on the hood, but I think you'll be able to buff that out.
4. I've never blamed anything on it, and it's an old lady car through no fault of its own.
5. I've been using it to deliver meth and crack cocaine, with the occasional human trafficking.

Justifiable homicide?

So, as many of you saw, I started a new gig a few weeks ago - three, to be exact. A brand new Director/VP started exactly one week after I did. Been doing a lot of cool stuff, redesigning a bunch of their material, getting the ground-work laid for video production to amp up the marketing, particularly via social media. Good times!

Today, said marketing director, who wasn't involved in my hiring, calls me in to tell me that she and the CEO have decided to cut the size of the department in half and, as the new guy with no seniority whatsoever, my name was first on the block.

W. T. F.

Thankfully, my previous part-time job is *more* than happy to take me back (maybe a little to enthusiastic on that phone call ...) so I'm not completely up shit creek, but does anything think there's a judge who wouldn't be sorta like "yeah, they had this one coming."

I am, of course, not serious... but God Damn.

I shit you not I was watching the movie Unstoppable (you know the movie about the run away train in PA) and heard a train lay on the horn right next to my apartment complex. After the movie was over (35 minutes after we heard the horn) my friend and I found out that a man was hit by the train on the track right next to our apartment complex. Currently there are dozens of cop cars, fire trucks, and ambulances with rescue squads out looking for the person....

Got my first New Car!

Well to be fair, it's a lease, but shit if I ain't stoked to be driving this baby

2012 Chevy Cruze 1LT

I almost got the turbo but it would have shot my monthly up over $300 and the dealer said it wouldn't have been worth it for me. To be fair, I drove the turbo on a loaner while I was waiting for the recon on my 1LT and I couldn't tell too much of a difference.

This is a beautiful car. Color is Gold Mist. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a nice smaller sedan that's not a Toyota or Honda.

I needed a car to replace my 99 Bonneville SE that I just killed the Crank Shaft on. I almost went for the Malibu for the sweeter lease incentives but I wanted a smaller, slightly sportier sedan that was more fun to drive.

It has Onstar, Blu Tooth and all that. It's got great features on the radio like an Ipod port, 3 free months XM 6 months free Onstar with 60 mins of calls (that I will prolly never use). It handles beautifuly almost luxuriously and sporty combined. The interior is VERY quite with almost no weather and engine noise. I mean.. I really really love this car.

Pics will follow soon.

Online Dating - Success or Failure?

I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever delved into the online dating scene? Reason I'm asking is because I just met someone on Match and we're, I guess you could say, a perfect match. She's awesome and wonderful. She's just like a year older than me so we're on the same level. So what I'm saying is that I feel that this thing works...the online dating thing. And with saying that it's worth mentioning that this is how I met my Ex...on Match...and we were together for 10yrs. That fell apart for many, many, many reasons...too much water under the bridge I guess you could say. I won't get into that. But I'd just like to hear if anyone else has ever tried it and what has been your experiences? Even if you haven't, what are your thoughts? Would you consider it? If not, then why not? I'm a strong proponent of it. I feel that it works but it's like anything else, you have to put time into it...you have to work at it. You're only going to get out of it what you put into it essentially. Like with anything else in life...

Got a job interview

Hey guys,

I have a job interview in 9 minutes for the position of gas station attendant and customer service blah blah blah..

It's a fairly nice gas station so I'm almost positive I'll get the job, the person I'm interviewing called me to schedule it and it sounds like I have a chance.

I'm gonna go in there and clerk that shit up! They even have an old man that hangs outside, so it'll be like I'll have my own Jay and Silent Bob

I'm really hoping things go my way.
