CFL Power Rankings #3

We're at the halfway mark of the season.  Some teams are settling at the top and bottom, while others float in the middle and will be a fly in the ointment as they try to contend for a playoff spot.  Four teams changed spots and it could have been more.

1 - Steel City Screaming Eagles, 10-2 (Last Rank #2)
​Do the Screaming Eagles deserve to take the top spot after beating Indiana who was short a man?  A, it doesn't matter because there are more games to be played and B, who's to say that Steel City wouldn't have won 3 of 4 anyway?  Next up, SCSE hosts Ventura (2-10).

2 - Indiana SAMS, 8-3-1 (Last Rank #1)
Indiana suffered three losses without their leader, Says You.  Other teams are looking for ways to sabotage his internet connection for each remaining game night.  Next up they'll host the Windy City Hustlers (3-8-1).

3 - DC Detonators, 10-2 (Last Rank #3)
You could argue that DC should at least be number 2 or could be number 1.  I was very close to putting them in both spots, but I couldn't drop Indiana that far and had no reason to put DC ahead of Steel City.  Next up they'll travel to the Rocky Mountains (7-5).

4 - Rocky Mountain Rolling Thunder, 7-5 (Last Rank #4)
The Rolling Thunder has put Grizz up in a 5 star hotel with a T3 internet connection.  They're eyeing revenge for Meet 2 when Grizz's gerbil-powered connection was just exhausted.  Hosting DC (10-2).

5 - Jersey Red Dragons, 5-7 (Last Rank #5)
It's been an up and down season for Jersey so far.  If they can gain some consistency, they have a chance to make a run for the wild card spot, if not the division lead if things break right.  Next up they'll host Dayton (2-10).

6 - Dayton Cobras, 2-10 (Last Rank #6)
I nearly lost my mind and put Dayton ahead of Jersey based on the fact that their games have been closer.  Dayton is fighting hard, but can't quite accumulate many wins.  They'll have a chance to jump ahead of Jersey (5-7) when they visit Dayton next meet.

7 - Windy City Hustlers, 3-8-1 (Last Rank #8)
Windy City gets their first three wins of the season and is looking to put something together.  The path doesn't get easy as they'll travel to Indiana (8-3-1) and take on a team looking to keep ground with the division leader.

8 - Ventura Warlords, 2-10 (Last Rank #7)
Ventura had some bad luck last meet as they were missing their Juice.  Their games have been closer than the Hustlers so I regretted moving them here, however I had no choice with the Hustlers taking three from them last Sunday.  The road is long with many a winding turn, but Ventura hopes to straighten things out when they face Steel City (10-2) next meet.
