Gaming
Favorite Game (Current)? – Rock Band – I’m learning ProDrums and looking forward to the Fender guitar release to start learning ProGuitar…plus it’s a game the wife plays with me
Favorite Game (All Time)? – Mutant League Hockey
How did you choose your GT? – The Blackhawks used to have a marketing campaign called Cold Steel on Ice. I tried to just get ColdSteel, but it was taken, so I slapped on the ol’ birthdate
What is your gaming set up like? – Here are some pics. The TV has since been replaced with a 47’’ Vizio LCD and the Rock Band drums are now Ions
What games are you looking forward to? – Dragon Age 2; Tiger Woods ’12 (and the SGGA)
What Xbox 360 Achievement are you most proud of? – Looking at the list, I don’t think I really have one that stands out. Maybe the first game that I hit 100% on…NFS: Most Wanted ../forums/public/style_emoticons/default/dunno.gif
What does your significant other think about your gaming? – Depends on the day. For the most part she has no issues, but sometimes I’ll get the “you need to spend some time w/the family” comment. She plays RB with me quite often and loves to watch me play CoD and BFBC2…she likes seeing SG shoot noobs ../forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

How did you arrive at SG? – Via gamefaqs.com. I don’t remember who, but someone mentioned SG in a thread and I came over as a result
What is it that makes you keep coming back to the SG Forums? – It sounds corny, but SG is a second family. I’ve developed many good friendships via SG, have hosted many folks at my house for our annual Oktoberfest, sent & received unexpected gifts. We’re more than just folks that game together…we truly care about the other people and what’s going on in their lives
What SG thread is most memorable to you? Why? – The original SPAM thread. We had some great times in there with the old regulars…Steel, Mags, Annabeth, etc
Best SG Moment? – Dining with RiverDan at Ruby Tuesday’s in Ohio during SF ’08…an experience I will never forget!
Personal
Hobbies, other than Gaming? – Fishing, golf, camping, beer
Favorite movie/TV show/book? – Tough question. Movie – guess I’ll stay true to my geekdom and go with The Empire Strikes Back, though I could easily go with something like The Godfather or anything mafia related. TV Show – right now it would be Dexter. Book – Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn, not for itself but for launching the entire Star Wars Extended Universe
Favorite gift you've ever received? – My Dad used to take an annual fishing trip to Mine Centre, Ontario with a bunch of his grade school buddies over Memorial Day. For my high school graduation present, he took me with. I’d always planned to go back with him again, but work & life got in the way and it ended up being the only time I made the trip with him. I’ll always remember that week of fishing with him and his friends
You can press a button that will make any one person explode. Who would you blow up? Why? – If it could be accomplished without hurting my kids emotionally…my ex-wife ../forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
What real life achievement are you most proud of? – My family. Its not easy blending 2 families together, but for the most part we’ve meshed 5 kids with very few growing pains.
What do you do for a living (and/or) what is your dream job? – I’m in insurance on the wholesale side. We help place coverage for the corporate world to protect their Boards etc. Dream job would be a fishing guide in Northern WI or MN or Canada.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring with you? Why? – 1. My family – they may drive me nuts at times, but I wouldn’t want to be without them either. 2. Fishing poles & tackle – if I’m stuck on an island, I might as well fish & feed us. 3. Endless supply of beer – how can I be on a beach and fishing all day without beer? ../forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
For every meal for the rest of your life you can only eat the same sandwich. What is on it? – Grilled steak either seasoned or marinated, cheese, grilled onions & bacon
Share one thing interesting thing about yourself that many folks might not know. – Becky & I met via a Yahoo NHL Chat Room. After several months of chatting, she asked me to be her date to her sister’s wedding and was stunned when I agreed to make the 6+ hour drive North to London, Ontario. Roughly 18 months later we were getting married ourselves ../forums/public/style_emoticons/default/wub.gif
When you were little, who was your favorite super hero and why? – Honestly I was more into sports teams than super heroes. The closest I got to a super hero was Darth Vader. I hated Spiderman though…used to have nightmares about him chasing me and webbing me after seeing the “live action” version of it on The Electric Company on PBS where his web was a giant net
Time for a little "F", Marry, Kill Star Wars edition. Princess Leia, Padme, Aunt Beru(you can chose the young version if you like) – This one is easy. F Padme…she’s a hottie. Marry Leia…if she can put up with Han, she can definitely put up with me, plus I’d get all the advantages that her political position brings. Kill Aunt Beru…anyone who raised a whiny little byotch like Luke deserves to die ../forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
Name something that you lied to your parents about that you still haven't come clean on? - Don’t really have anything memorable anymore There was a car accident when I was 16 where I spun out and hit a telephone pole, but told my mom that someone did a hit and run on it in the grocery store parking lot. She found pieces of the pole in the front bumper so the running joke was I got hit by a car w/a wooden bumper…but I stuck to that story for almost 20 years before finally coming clean
What is your go-to karaoke/Rock Band song? – Lynyrd Skynyrd– Simple Man
